Nuna Pepp Stroller Review

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to test out this year’s Nuna Pepp stroller.  If you have been following the blog, then you know I love going on walks and having a good stroller is very important to me.  It is a splurge-worthy category in my book!  Alexa just switched from her infant to convertible car seat, so it was perfect timing (as I had been using the infant car seat and adapter on my running stroller for most excursions).  I have been very happy with our jogging stroller, but it isn’t always the most appropriate means of transportation… especially when shopping or running a quick errand.  I also wanted something with a little more substance than the typical umbrella stroller, as I like my little one’s ride to be secure.  The Nuna Pepp was super easy to assemble when it came in the mail, all I had to do was attached the canopy.  My first impression was that it was super light (19 lbs, which rivals some umbrella strollers) and that it had a very sleek and luxurious look and feel to it (it retails for $299, although get it for $249 here, but looks like it could easily cost more).  I love the fabric (quality and easy to clean) and pretty obsessed with this blackberry color.  Additionally, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to open and fold (literally you can open it with one hand).  It’s by far the easiest stroller I’ve tried so far in regards to ease.. so compact and an ideal travel stroller!

Nuna Pepp Stroller
The Nuna Pepp has a sleek and stylish design and is available in many great colors including Blackberry (pictured).

I took A out in the stroller out for a quick spin in the neighborhood and it has a great ride.  It’s not an “all-terrain” kind of stroller (I’m taking over big rocks and the like), but it has a really smooth ride and is very, very easy to maneuver.  It has a suspension technology, which does make for a nice ride over bumps.

The stroller has a comfortable handle bar (which is adjustable for different height “drivers”), very easy brake, and a small basket in the back.  The window in the back wasn’t very conducive to seeing baby, but it is very easy to pull up the shade to say “hi”.  As this is the ideal stroller for a trip and for smoother surfaces, I figured I would try it out in my old stomping grounds: the mall.

It was SO easy to get the stroller into the trunk of my car and it didn’t take much space up either.  I could get used to not lugging my jogging stroller around for quick trips!

Trying out the new stroller at the mall!

It was so nice putting A in the stroller vs. practically throwing out my back getting the infant car seat out of the car and putting it into the adapter (I really think I could have switched about 2 months ago – she is getting heavy!)  You can see the stroller has a nice foot rest, that can be pushed down for bigger children… it holds up to 50 lbs!

I love how you can pull the canopy and sunshade back to get a nice view of your little one. A was loving the new ride, by the way!

As I “drove” the stroller into the mall, I realized how obnoxious I’ve been taking my jogging stroller into stores (not that I have been to TOO many, but still.)  Total rookie mistake and this is so much more conducive for a quick trip or anywhere there are crowded spaces.

My favorite section – sale!!

The stroller is so compact that there was no space that was difficult pushing through.  It made for a really nice and hassle-free stroll around the store.

The five-point harness made for a secure ride and the stroller itself has just enough padding and seating for it to feel like a full stroller.  You can also have it serve as a three-point harness for when baby gets a bit older.

We shopped til we dropped!

At this point, I should have tried the reclining chair (there are two positions available by unzipping zippers in the back, which is super easy).  I never think to have the stroller recline (as I really had been using the infant car seat so much), but I think it’s a great benefit that I’ll use in the future.

A successful trip!  A new favorite toy purchased today – dog named Boo 🙂

The Nuna Pepp is a really fantastic stroller if you are looking for a compact, sleek, and safe ride for your little one.  I am looking forward to our next shopping trip for more than one reason now!
