Product Review: Joovy Tricycoojoovy tricycoo, joovy, tricycoo, kids bikes, bikes, kids tricycles, kids bicycles

You may remember us featuring Joovy’s Tricycoo during our summer toy round-up… and it certainly has been a hit this summer!  Now that it’s a bit cooler out, our bike rides are becoming even more enjoyable.  We are a huge fan of Joovy products for their quality, durability and designand were so excited to take the new Tricycoo out for a test drive.  This convertible bike, which comes in 3 colors, transforms to be the perfect toy for kids from 18 months – 4 years old (up to 44 pounds).  How much do you just LOVE things that grow with your kids?  Makes life so much easier, and makes any investment so much more worth it.

I’m going to put out the only con in my book about this trike… it was a bit confusing to put together from the directions.  With that being said, it is super sturdy and I’m not the best with paper directions.  So, as soon as I did get it together after about 30 minutes, A could hardly wait to try it out.  This trike is like a dream for the little ones – it is even cuter in person.

Even though we didn’t really need the fabric insert at age 2.5, we decided to keep it in as it keeps her secure and also makes the seat a bit cozier.  She absolutely loves the cup holder feature to keep a juice box or her milk in as we ride up the street (I’ve also been known to use it to hold my cell phone).  You can see that we have the parent push bar, which is fantastic.  Compared to other trikes we’ve tested, this one is the highest quality and has the best maneuverability.  It’s also adjustable, so worked well for both my husband and me.  You do have the option to remove it once your kid is ready to go on their own!

A’s feet hit the pedals perfectly and she picked up this skill rather quickly.  It has been a great confidence booster to see how she has really learned to pedal and steer herself.  It is certainly an easy bike for a kid to learn on, due to its high quality design. She’s always up for a bike ride!  For kids that aren’t ready to pedal, there is a convenient footrest that can be pulled down (this is also good for when your little ones get tired).

Other features we love?  The canopy that is really easy to move about to block the sun is an awesome feature.  It’s also detachable.  There is a little bucket in the back (where A wanted to bring her toys), but also good for adults to throw things in (phone, keys, wallet, etc.)  as our bike rides have become pretty long these days!!

We love our Tricycoo and look forward to some cooler bike rides now that it’s officially fall.  We highly recommend this trike and think it would be a show stealer for the holidays!  The price is certainly right at $99 – buy yours here.
